Privacy policy
Effective 2026-08-06
The short version: this site sells nothing, carries no advertising, and collects as little as it can. It does use Google Analytics to count which pages are read, which is described plainly below rather than buried.
What is collected
Standard server logs, which include IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These are used to keep the site running and to understand which pages are read. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not shared.
Google Analytics 4. This site uses it to count page views and understand which pages are read. It sets a first-party cookie in your browser and sends Google the page you viewed, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and general device and browser information.
What that means honestly: when you read a page here, a request is made to Google. We have configured no advertising features, no Google Signals and no cross-site or cross-device identifiers, so this is measurement rather than profiling. It is still a third party receiving a record of your visit, and the earlier version of this page claimed otherwise. That claim was written before analytics were installed and it is corrected here.
If you would rather not be counted, any tracker blocker will stop it, and nothing on this site breaks when it is blocked. There is no wall, no popup, and no consent banner that punishes you for declining.
What is not collected
- No advertising cookies, because there is no advertising.
- No advertising networks, no behavioural or cross-site profiling, and no data sold or shared with anyone for marketing.
- No third-party fonts. Typefaces are served from this domain, so reading a page makes no request to a font host. Google Analytics is the only external script loaded, and it is described above.
- No account is required to read anything, so there is nothing to sign up to and no password held.
